How to Disable an Auto Clicker on Windows
There are three ways to disable an auto clicker on Windows: use the program's hotkey to pause it, close the program from the system tray or taskbar, or end the process in Task Manager if the program is unresponsive. Which method you use depends on whether the auto clicker is responding normally or has frozen.
Method 1: Use the Hotkey (Fastest)
Every major auto clicker has a toggle hotkey. For OP Auto Clicker the default is F6. For GS Auto Clicker it is F8. Pressing the hotkey pauses the clicking immediately without closing the program. Press it again to resume. If you changed the default hotkey and cannot remember what it is, open the auto clicker window and look at the Hotkey field.
Method 2: Close from the Taskbar or System Tray
If you want to fully close the program, right-click its icon in the Windows taskbar or system tray and choose Close or Exit. Some auto clickers like TinyTask minimize to the system tray rather than closing when you click X. Right-clicking the tray icon gives you the Exit option to fully quit the program.
Method 3: Task Manager (If Unresponsive)
If the auto clicker is frozen and you cannot interact with it, open Task Manager with Ctrl+Shift+Esc. Find the auto clicker process in the Processes tab. Right-click it and select End Task. This forces the program to close immediately.
How to Remove an Auto Clicker from Windows Startup
Open Task Manager, click the Startup tab, find the auto clicker entry, right-click it, and choose Disable. Alternatively, search for Startup Apps in the Windows Start menu, find the auto clicker in the list, and toggle it off.
How to Uninstall an Auto Clicker
Most auto clickers like OP Auto Clicker and GS Auto Clicker are standalone executables with no installation. To remove them, delete the .exe file from wherever you saved it. There are no registry entries or program files to clean up. For auto clickers that came with an installer, go to Settings, then Apps, search for the program name, and click Uninstall.
