Auto Keyboard by MurGee

Auto Keyboard by MurGee is a Windows application that repeatedly presses any keyboard key at a configurable interval. Developed by MurGee Software (murgee.com), it is one of the most widely used auto key presser tools for Windows. The interface is a single screen: select a key from a dropdown, set the delay in milliseconds, set the repeat count (0 for infinite), assign a hotkey, and it runs in the system tray.

How to Use Auto Keyboard by MurGee

  1. Click the key selector field in Auto Keyboard and press the key you want to automate (for example, press W to set W as the key).
  2. Set the interval. Enter a value in milliseconds. 100ms = 10 presses per second. 1000ms = 1 press per second.
  3. Set a hotkey. Click the hotkey field and press your chosen hotkey combination (e.g., F6). This hotkey will toggle the auto pressing on and off from any window.
  4. Open your game or application. Press your assigned hotkey. Auto Keyboard will begin pressing the configured key at the set interval into whatever window is active. Press the hotkey again to stop.

Common Use Cases

  • Gaming: hold W to walk, spam Space for jumping, repeat an ability key
  • Keep-alive: press F5 or a spacebar at intervals to prevent logout or screen timeout
  • Data entry: repeat a key input (Tab, Enter) across many records
  • Software testing: verify keyboard input handling in an application
  • Accessibility: automate key presses for users with limited hand mobility
